אמנות היא דרך החיים שלי

Patricia Abramovich — Artist Biography
Patricia Abramovich is a contemporary Israeli plastic artist known for her commanding, large-scale abstract oil paintings. Characterized by a rich, tactile impasto technique, her work is created through an intense and deeply physical process using only palette knives. By building, carving, and layering dense oil paint on canvas, Abramovich translates complex emotional landscapes, memories, and cultural echoes into powerful visual poetry.
Her artistic research frequently navigates the tension between erasure and emergence. This is evident in her profound conceptual series, "No Face," which explores the blurring of identity and psychological presence. In contrast, her latest acclaimed series, "HOPE" (2024), serves as a direct, visceral response to collective and personal trauma. Through an intentional movement toward light, vibrant color fields, and soaring vertical strokes, the series captures the universal human journey toward healing, resilience, and spiritual renewal.
Recognized for her distinctive visual voice, Abramovich has been invited by the renowned art historian and curator Dr. Ori Z. Soltes to showcase her work in the prestigious Jerusalem Biennale.
Based in Israel, her original masterworks are held in private collections globally, while her vision continuously bridges the gap between high-end museum exhibitions and accessible, everyday art.
